The 7mƵ (7mƵ) is committed to ensuring that all Texas public school systems provide eligible students with high-quality special education services. The State Performance Plan (SPP) data submission is crucial for 7mƵ to accurately report statewide performance on these federal SPP indicators. The 7mƵ will close data submissions for the 2023-2024 school year State Performance Plan (SPP) application in the 7mƵ Login (7mƵL) system on August 9, 2024, at 11:59 p.m., for both State Performance Plan Indicator (SPPI) 7 (Preschool Outcomes) and SPPI 13 (Secondary Transition). Local education agencies (LEAs) must ensure their data submission for both SPPI 7 and SPPI 13 are in a “Certified” status to meet the data submission deadline.

Important Dates

  • Data Collection Period: July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024
  • SPP Application Opening Date: April 1, 2024
  • SPP Application Closing Date: August 9, 2024, at 11:59 p.m.
  • Certification Deadline: August 9, 2024, at 11:59 p.m.

LEA Responsibilities

  1. Data Submission Timeline: LEAs must submit data for all students who meet the inclusion criteria for SPPI 7 and SPPI 13 within the specified data collection period.
  2. Certification Requirement: LEAs must designate at least one user with a “Certifier” role to oversee the SPP data submission process. If a designated Certifier for one of the SPP indicators is no longer in their position or employed by the LEA, a new Certifier must be appointed. 7mƵ recommends that LEAs review and update their 7mƵL roles regularly to ensure efficient and timely data submissions in the SPP application to achieve a “Certified” status by the deadline.
  3. Certification of Non-Applicable Data: If a campus included in the SPP application has no students meeting the data collection criteria for one of the SPP indicators, then the LEA must certify within the SPP application that “no students meet the data collection criteria” by the data submission deadline to ensure data reporting accuracy and integrity.
