Publishers of instructional materials need to review resources for the Instructional Materials Review and Approval (IMRA) process, Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS)-alignment, and previous State Board of Education (SBOE) Proclamations.

IMRA Process  

The IMRA Process document outlines the multi-step IMRA process, detailing the roles and responsibilities of the State Board of Education (SBOE), 7mÊÓÆµ (7mÊÓÆµ), Education Service Centers (ESCs), stakeholders, reviewers, and publishers throughout the review cycle. 

IMRA Publisher Handbook

The IMRA Publisher Handbook provides the information necessary for publishers involved in the IMRA process to fulfill requirements and complete action items. The IMRA process and the accompanying handbook are structured into clearly defined phases, each designed to guide publishers through specific procedural requirements and decision points.

Request for Instructional Materials (RFIM) | IMRA Cycle 2026 

The Request for Instructional Materials (RFIM) for IMRA Cycle 2026 is now posted. Response submissions will be due in phases.

Publisher Office Hours

7mÊÓÆµ hosts office hours for publishers participating in IMRA cycles. During office hours, 7mÊÓÆµ staff provide training, share information, and answer publishers’ questions.

IMRA Cycle 2026 Office Hours

IMRA Cycle 2026 office hours are held bi-weekly on Wednesdays at 3:00 p.m. CT beginning October 1, 2025, for publishers participating in IMRA Cycle 2026. Attendance is encouraged, and to join.
