The Compliance Integrity Unit, within the Department of Grant Compliance and Administration, is responsible for conducting validations to ensure program compliance for school systems receiving federal funding for Title II, Part A and Title III, Part A for the current academic year.
Overview of Supplement, Not Supplant (SNS) Validation Process
School systems are selected to provide documentation for only one of the required validation processes. Previously selected school systems will be omitted from the group selection for the current year.
The Compliance Integrity Unit staff will communicate and discuss the specific documentation required for compliance review and what is submitted by the school systems for evaluation. School systems should maintain local documentation throughout the school year to validate and verify expenditures for activities funded through Title II, Part A and Title III, Part A.
