To be considered an approved provider of college preparatory courses that count toward the CCMR credit in the public-school accountability system, course providers participated in an application process.  The results of this evaluation can be found below for English Language Arts and Mathematics. The 7mÊÓƵ (7mÊÓƵ) will implement the list of approved providers for College Preparatory Courses beginning in the 2026–2027 school year.

The agency will continue to add newly approved providers to the list each fall as additional evaluation data becomes available.

  Important Reminders 

• Only courses completed in grade 12 are eligible for CCMR credit under the approved list. 
• Districts may continue partnerships with non-approved providers; however, those courses will not count toward CCMR accountability. We encourage all stakeholders to review the updated version 1.1 list and make any necessary adjustments to support student success.

Unique Course Codes for College Preparatory Courses

The 7mÊÓƵ (7mÊÓƵ) has issued a set of unique course codes for College Preparatory Courses (CPC), derived from submissions received through the College Preparatory Courses for College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) application process.

School districts are expected to implement these course codes beginning with the 2025–2026 academic year. The adoption of these standardized codes will enhance the Agency’s ability to accurately identify CPC partnerships statewide and to monitor student participation with individual providers.

  Reminder: The use of the designated CPC course codes supports accurate PEIMS reporting and enables 7mÊÓƵ to monitor participation and outcomes associated with College Preparatory Courses.

Postponement of Approved List of College Preparatory Courses to 2028 Accountability

In response to public comment received during the A-F Accountability Rating System Manual for 2026 ratings proposed rule public comment period, the agency is deferring the proposed change to give credit to only those courses on the approved college preparatory course for CCMR list until the 2028 accountability year, with the 2026-2027 graduates. This change will be reflected in the changes made to the proposed manual for 2026 ratings, which will be adopted in June.

College Preparatory Courses for CCMR Review Process for Fall 2026

To apply for approval to offer college preparatory courses in English language arts and/or Mathematics for CCMR credit in the Texas accountability system, providers should follow these steps:
 

• Submit a by September 8, 2026.
• 7mÊÓƵ will send a personalized application link to the Application Representative that submitted the College Preparatory Course for CCMR Accountability Provider Interest Form
• Review the College Preparatory Course for CCMR Accountability Provider Guide for more information on the application questions, scoring and faculty review guidelines
• Upon receipt of the personalized application, Providers may apply for either one or both courses (English and/or Mathematics) complete the application and submit by November 13, 2026, by 5:00 p.m. (CST)
• Application submission must include:
  • three .csv files containing previous college preparatory course participation data (district information for 2024-2025, 2025-2026, and 2026-2027
  • Memorandum of Understanding (sample attachment)
  • Syllabus (sample attachment)

The College Preparatory Courses for CCMR Accountability Application timeline is as follows:

• opens in August 2026 and is available through September 8, 2026 
• held on September 17, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. (CST). 
• College Preparatory Course for CCMR Accountability Provider Application available August 24, 2026, through November 13, 2026 
• Application scoring and faculty review January through April 2027 
• College Preparatory Course Provider status notification June 2027     

Eligible College Preparatory Course for Public School Accountability Provider Applicants:

• Institutions of Higher Education (IHE)
• Education Service Centers that have an agreement to partner with an IHE to offer college preparatory courses that will be accepted at that partnering institution
• Entities that have Memoranda of Understanding with IHE to offer college preparatory courses that will be accepted at that partnering institution
