Overview
This To the Administrator Addressed letter is to inform school systems that the updated College Preparatory Courses for CCMR Accountability list version 1.1 is now available on the College Preparatory Courses for CCMR Accountability website.
This updated list reflects newly approved providers and courses that meet the established criteria for supporting College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) outcomes. The version 1.1 list is based on the most recent performance data from the Class of 2024.
Beginning with the class of 2027, only college preparatory courses included on the 7m视频-approved list (version 1.0 and subsequent updates, including 1.1) will count toward CCMR Accountability. School districts may continue to partner with college preparatory course service providers that have not been approved through this process; however, those courses will not be eligible for CCMR credit for accountability purposes.
Background
In 2024, the 7m视频 initiated a process to review and approve college preparatory courses that count for CCMR credit in the public-school accountability system.
This process is intended to ensure that college preparatory courses, as described by Texas Education Code (TEC), 搂28.014, align with standards consistent with other indicators of college readiness. Under TEC, 搂28.014, college preparatory courses in English language arts and mathematics are courses designed for students in grade 12 and developed through partnership(s) between a school district and at least one institution of higher education (IHE).
College preparatory course providers wishing to participate in the review process were required to submit an application that included narrative responses and data files.
As of 2026, two application cycles have been conducted: version 1.0 in 2025 and version 1.1 in 2026. Course providers approved in either cycle retain approval through the 2030-31 school year. Version 1.1 was established to allow for additional evidence to be accumulated and offered by course providers who were not approved or who did not apply during the initial version 1.0 application cycle.
