LASO 26-27 (Cycle 5) Application Opens September 23, 2026

LASO Overview

The Learning Acceleration Support Opportunities (LASO) is a single, consolidated application that combines grants, allotments, and in-kind supports, bundled around a few key strategies to accelerate academic gains. LASO 26-27 (Cycle 5) offers 21 opportunities focused on Strategic Planning, Curriculum & Instruction, Strategic Talent Systems, More Time, and Innovative School Models — totaling up to $400 million.

Application opens on September 23, 2026, and closes on December 1, 2026, 5:00 p.m. CT.

  • Over the next few weeks, superintendents should explore the various LASO support opportunities located on the LASO Webpage and discuss with their internal teams which offerings best fit their district’s needs. 
  • Sign up for the General Webinar and individual Initiative Webinars, located on the LASO Webpage here.
    • September 14, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. CT () and September 18, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. CT ().
  • Superintendents will receive an email with a unique application link on September 23 to apply for LASO.
